Recent talks in Toronto between the Sudbury Mine Mill and Smelter Workers Union Local 598/CAW and OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs has resulted in a tentative collective agreement.

Ratification meetings and vote will be held at the Union's Craft Shop at the Richard Lake Campgrounds on Sunday, July 17th, 2011. The times of the meetings will be at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., during which the membership will be given the details of the tentative agreement and the opportunity to vote.

Mine Mill Local 598/CAW is currently also in negotiations with the Elizabeth Centre, and Finlandia Nursing Home. Starting shortly talks begin with St. Joseph's Villa, St. Gabriel's Villa, Iris Addiction Recovery for Women and The Walford on the Park.
