The days are getting longer and this is a sign that spring is on the way. Everyone is anxious for winter to be over. We all need spring so that it will cheer us up. I am ready for the hot weather. |

Ratification of Collective Agreement - January 15, 2013
A ratification vote was held last evening for the members of Mine Mill Local 598/CAW that work at Nutra 2000 in Val Caron, Ontario. 100% of the members accepted the deal put forward by their bargaining committee. |
Newsletter - September 2011
It's been a while since I could attend our last newsletter because of everyone going on holidays. There were no meetings for the summer. I was off sick, but I am now on modified. I hope everyone took time for holidays, which everyone deserves. The weather was excellent; it was a very hot summer. |

It's been a while since I could attend our Unit Chair meetings. I have been off work because of an accident, but I am now back to work. Winter has come and gone and now we are looking forward to a nice hot summer. |

The holidays have come and gone. I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves and we were very busy. I know I was on super speed during the holidays. I really enjoyed being with my family and that is the best. |

Since my last newsletter, we had our quarterly meeting. Michelle Labbe was not available because she was off on compassionate leave. |

Since our last meeting, we had our quarterly meeting on March 19th. It was a good meeting. We discussed how to make our Union stronger. |
Newsletter - February 2010
Since our last meeting, there hasn't been too much happening. Xstrata Nickel and Mine Mill Local 598/CAW have reached a tentative agreement, which everybody is glad of. The ratification vote was held on February 2nd, 2010 and the members voted 93% in favour of accepting the new collective agreement. |

Newsletter - February 2009
Once a month Mine Mill 598/CAW Unit Chair persons meet. I attended the February 2nd meeting and gave a workplace report. It was interesting to hear what issues other members are facing and the assistance and recommendations provided on how to address their concerns. |
