Attention all Local 598 Members:

This is to announce the 2011 Family Education Programme. There will be two 1-week English programmes and one 2-week French programmes.

The programme is open to all CAW members and their immediate family. For the purpose of the programme, immediate family is spouse/partner and dependent children (up to age 18 only). This does not include grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. These programmes are on your own time and no lost time will be paid to attend.

The CAW family Education Programme is funded through the National Union and NOT through the Paid Education Leave (PEL) fund. CAW members ARE NOT REQUIRED to have PEL in their collective agreements in order to apply.

The dates for the three (3) sessions are as follows:

Session 1 – English – Saturday, July 2nd to Saturday, July 9th (one-week programme)
Session 2 – French – Sunday, July 24th to Friday, August 5th (two-week programme)
Session 3 – English – Sunday, August 14th to Sunday, August 21st (one week programme)

Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 25th, 2011. Application form and information packages are available now at the Union Office or on the CAW website at www.caw.ca/education.
